Colin's work was exceptional. He communicated with us clearly and asked questions to make sure we would be happy with the final result, which we love.

Owner Dave took the time to explain to us the options before we entered into the service agreement. The carpenter Colin was extremely accommodating, thorough, and skilled. He was able to install each of the doors (each of which required a different creative solution for installation) while minimizing noise and dust which was a concern to us because we have a baby in the house. Questions From Smithfield Homeowners

Yes. Homes from that era are well built but often closed off into small rooms. We reframe openings, install engineered beams where a load-bearing wall comes out, and update trim and doors so the finished result looks intentional rather than patched.

Usually, yes. Removing a load-bearing wall needs a beam sized by a structural engineer and a building permit, then careful temporary support while we frame the new opening. Our framing crew handles the structure and our finish crew closes it up.

Yes. We build decks and rebuild porches, stairs and railings to code, using materials that stand up to Toronto winters. Decks more than about 60 cm above grade need a City of Toronto building permit, which we factor into the timeline.

Yes. That is exactly what our Service Carpentry division is for. Door adjustments, trim repairs, small exterior fixes and built-ins are regular jobs for us in north Etobicoke, and they are typically scheduled within a few weeks.

Yes. We serve all of Etobicoke, from the lakeshore up to Smithfield, Thistletown and the Humber. Our office is on St Clair Ave W, and crews travel to north Etobicoke regularly, so there is no premium for distance.
