Shawnessy & Colin were from Connolly were great. I had a smaller job that required some finesse - to repair some damaged balusters. Colin did a great job. Would use again.

I hired Connolly Fine Carpentry for my backyard fence, deck, guard rails, and carport screen. The team did a beautiful job. They took a lot of care, paid attention to detail, and when issues came up as they inevitably do—they were handled respectfully and professionally.

We brought CF Carpentry in to finish a complicated handrail for a set of stairs in our house. Shawnessy was extremely helpful explaining the process and finding someone to help with our project almost immediately. Colin's work was exceptional. He communicated with us clearly and asked questions to make sure we would be happy with the final result, which we love. We will be using CF Carpentry again when we do our basement stairs.

We hired CF Carpentry to install five interior doors in our condo. I highly recommend their services. Owner Dave took the time to explain to us the options before we entered into the service agreement. The carpenter Colin was extremely accommodating, thorough, and skilled. He was able to install each of the doors (each of which required a different creative solution for installation) while minimizing noise and dust which was a concern to us because we have a baby in the house. Office manager Shawnessy was always polite, efficient, and responsive. We are extremely happy with the results and with our experience in general.

Dave at Connolly Fine Carpentry was fantastic at helping us through our home Reno project. All those on his team were amazing to work with and got the job done with a high level of expertise and finish. Dave was amazing at quoting the job range and sticking within in it. I always felt like he was honest and thorough in the attention he gave to our project. Would use him and his team again in the future.

Questions From Etobicoke Homeowners

Yes. Many homes in The Kingsway, Humber Valley and Princess Anne Manor date from the 1920s to 1950s, so renovations usually involve matching original trim profiles, reframing around plaster and brick, and adding structure for open-plan kitchens. Our Red Seal lead carpenters handle that detail work alongside your designer or builder.

Second-storey additions on post-war bungalows are one of the most common projects we frame in south Etobicoke. We work from your architect’s permit drawings, frame the new floor, tie it into the existing structure, and finish the trim and doors so the addition reads as part of the original home.

Yes. Homes near the lake take more wind and moisture than most, so we choose materials and flashing details for decks, porches, siding and railings that hold up to that exposure. Decks more than about 60 cm above grade need a City of Toronto building permit, and we plan for that in the schedule.

Our office is at 550 St Clair Ave W, roughly 20 to 30 minutes from most of Etobicoke, and our crews are in the west end every week. Smaller jobs go to our Service Carpentry division, which can often schedule within a few weeks.

Yes. We carry $5 million in commercial liability insurance, are WSIB compliant, and back our work with a 2-year workmanship warranty. Every Etobicoke project has a dedicated point of contact, so you always know who is on site and what happens next.
